I have some exciting news to share!
As of July 2023, MSquared Counseling's home base will be in Saratoga Springs, New York.
One of the many benefits of counseling by Zoom and Google Meet means that this relocation of my office will have no impact on my clients around the US and beyond.
I am excited, though, that I will be able to maintain a physical office for local clients in the region to be able to meet with me, if they choose.
I have now lived and worked in schools and college admission in San Antonio, Houston, Seattle, Denver, Shanghai and the San Francisco Bay Area, giving me the chance to know those regions and their schools. I spent time in Saratoga Springs during the pandemic era when I, like many of my colleagues and students based in China, was unable to gain re-entry because of border closures. I am delighted to be permanently relocating to this lively small city with its rich history.
My partner is moving into a senior admission role at Skidmore College, a fantastic liberal arts college with a strong interdisciplinary educational culture. I'm looking forward to having access to a vibrant college community, and to staying current on the experience of modern admission practices though her experience.
I feel very fortunate that my 25 years of experience in the college admission and counseling profession have yielded a nationwide network of collaborators to consult in my work. I will continue to travel the country, staying updated on trends in colleges-- and meeting my clients in different cities in person, when possible!
I am looking forward to getting settled in the Adirondack region and working with students and families in local high schools in the Capital District, Vermont, Western Massachusetts, Saratoga Springs, Albany, Troy, Schenectady, Rensselaer, Clifton Park, Niskayuna, and neighboring towns!
