Here's some good news in the college admission world amid an increasingly confusing standardized testing landscape. Pomona College, one of the Claremont Colleges in Southern California, is going permanently test-optional.
As a college that is widely considered one of the strongest all-around liberal arts colleges in the country, and a top school for social mobility of graduates, with a mega-selective 7% admit rate from around 12,000 annual applicants, this is an impactful move, setting the stage for other similar institutions to follow.
