Preview a College Kickstart Report

College Kickstart is a web-based platform that can help students, families and counselors in the stages of shaping and finalizing a balanced college list.

I subscribe to College Kickstart for all of my student clients. Powered by the last admission season's published data from colleges, it identifies the likelihoods of particular colleges on the list based on the student's rough academic profile. It also assigns a letter grade to the whole list, reflecting the distribution of applications throughout the higher and lower likelihood ranges for that student, as well as the number of applications.

Among the helpful features Kickstart includes are suggestions to rebalance a list, premade lists of colleges with special characteristics, indicators of whether or not to submit SAT or ACT, financial aid and merit scholarship potential, Early Decision percentage boost if selected, and more.

I made a sample student profile on Kickstart in order to run the PDF report that I'm able to generate and send to students and parents.

You can download it by clicking on the image to see a preview of what a report like this could look like. It's one of many tools we have access to as students and I work on building an application list that will yield good-fit options to choose from in the spring of senior year.
